I was shocked and saddened to hear that Lisa had finally lost her battle and pass on my condolences to all Lisa's family and friends. I met Lisa when she was 20. We lived in the same hostel in Victoria , London. We became friends and enjoyed many nights out with our group of hostel friends. There was a pub next door, "The Colonies" where we would all meet up as a group. We had some fun nights. Eventually Lisa and I moved to Osterley and shared a flat together. Two 20 somethings who were terrified of spiders. I remember Lisa stayed awake all night once when she saw one in her bedroom, she was scared but she wouldn't kill it. She had such a caring nature and loved all wildlife. I have lots of lovely memories of times we spent together . I hadn't seen Lisa for a long time as I married and moved to Edinburgh and Lisa moved back to Devon but we kept in touch with Christmas cards and the occasional phone call. When Lisa told me about her health issues I was so upset for her but she was so strong and never complained about her situation just talked about her life. She only said she wished she could still work as she got bored in the house. She told me how proud she was of Melinda and the beautiful young woman she has turned out to be. I'm so sorry that I can't be there to say goodbye but I will be thinking of you all. Love Diane and family xxx
